Hong Kong Cleanup 2014
FleishmanHillard is proud to be the PR Partner of the Hong Kong Cleanup 2014. Organized by Ecozine and The Nature Conservancy, the 14th annual Hong Kong Cleanup Challenge is part of the world’s largest environmental volunteer effort. From now to November 1, hundreds of teams representing tens of thousands of volunteers will take part, with a new campaign in 2014 – #TrashBucketChallenge. Last year, over 45,000 citizens picked up more than 100,000 kg of trash — ranking Hong Kong as number 1 in the world in terms of the amount of trash collected, according to Ocean Conservancy’s global report. Globally last year, nearly 650,000 people picked up over 6 million kg of trash along 13,000 miles of coastline as part of the International Coastal Cleanup, and millions more participated in other cleanup initiatives around the world.
